Investitionsriese General Atlantic steigt bei chess.com ein
General Atlantic ist ein global operierender Finanzinvestor, der Unternehmen mit hohem Wachstumspotenzial untertstützt. Jetzt ist die Gruppe mit Sitz in New York, die Beteiligungen im Wert von etwa 35 Milliarden Dollar hält, bei chess.com eingestiegen. Das hat chess.com-CEO Erik Allebest mitgeteilt.
Über die Höhe der Investition wollen sich beide Seiten nicht äußern. Allebest betonte, dass sich personell nichts ändert. Mittel und Know-how von General Atlantic sollen chess.com helfen, weiter zu wachsen: "This is about bringing the game to new people and new places, and about doing the things we always wanted to do. We believe that our new partner will help us learn the things we don’t know and reach a broader audience in new ways. We firmly believe they will take nothing away, and will add a ton to make our company better and bring chess to more people."
